Born and raised on the Charleston Coast, Betty Poore is a phenomenon of energy, experience, and success. “When I started in the business, Kiawah and Seabrook were in early development, and Wild Dunes was just getting started. It was a great time to live and work here. It still is," says Betty.
How does she do it? Simple. “Buyers and sellers have always wanted actionable information, consistent service, meaningful communication, and professional experience, and that’s what I try to deliver each and every day.”
It must be a smooth brew; many of Betty’s buyers and sellers have been working with her for decades. “I love what I do,” she says, “and I hope it shows.”
For more than 40 years (and still counting) Betty has magically transformed buyers and sellers into “friends.” She loves her golf, her workouts, her husband’s cooking ... and the occasional glass of wine.
“My mom, Toddy Poore, was a pioneer in the Charleston real estate market, a single mother with six kids and a full-time job. I’d like to think I’m continuing her tradition, walking in her footsteps ... except for the six kids, of course.”
The habit of delivering for buyers and sellers extends to the members of the Betty Poore Group. “There are no shortcuts in this business. Not if you’re going to do it right. My mom taught me that, and all of us in the Group try to live by that approach every day.”
Betty Poore, REALTOR®
Since 1989, dunes properties has grown to be one of the Charleston Coast’s most successful boutique real estate firms, consistently ranking in the Top 10 of Charleston County sales. Although the company has grown to four Charleston area offices, there’s still nothing more important to its success than a dedicated group of knowledgeable agents. Their clients started saying it in 1989, and it’s truer now more than ever - “Nobody knows the Charleston Coast better.”
